For PTs and PTAs who teach yoga or Pilates

Your clients' insurance may cover their sessions with you.

If a client has pain or an injury, their health insurance may cover physical therapy with you, in your studio, in their home, or in your home. PeteHealth takes care of the billing, credentialing, and paperwork.

How coverage works

Insurance doesn't pay for fitness. It pays for physical therapy.

Clients pay out of pocket for yoga and Pilates as fitness. If a client has a diagnosed condition and a prescription, the physical therapy you provide can be billed to their commercial health plan.

It starts with

A prescription

The client gets a prescription for physical therapy from their own physician, or through a telemed visit we arrange.

It's billed as

A standard office visit

Each covered session is billed to the client's plan as a standard physical therapy office visit.

The client pays

Their usual cost share

That's the client's normal copay, coinsurance, or deductible for a PT visit. We check their benefits before the first session.

How it works

From studio to covered care

Bring it to your studio

Tell your studio owner about PeteHealth. We'll follow up with them to get things set up.

Clients ask

The studio posts a sign telling clients their sessions may be covered through physical therapy. Clients with pain or an injury come forward.

They get a prescription

The client gets the prescription from their own physician, or through a PeteHealth telemed visit. We verify their insurance and handle intake.

You treat, we bill

You see the client in the studio, in their home, or in your home, and PeteHealth bills their plan.

Know the difference

Class vs. covered visit

The studio and the teacher can be the same. The difference is why the client is there and who pays.
